Description: (NBC-TV, 1966-69) This vintage hypospray prop is constructed of nickel-plated brass and has a working plunger, at the top of which McCoy would place a capsule of 23rd century medicine (not included) for injection into the patient. The prop measures 8 in. long with the plunger extended, and 6 in. long with the plunger depressed. The main cylinder is approx. ¾ in. in diameter, and the prop weighs in at a very substantial 9.7 oz. Originally acquired from Dick Rubin, a veteran Hollywood property master who worked on Star Trek: The Motion Picture. An exceedingly rare Starfleet prop from the original Star Trek series. The quality and construction is of the very highest caliber.
