Description: A prop item featured variously in the first two seasons of Star Trek: The Next Generation. This item was the all-purpose engineering, communications, data storage and sensing device for use by Starfleet aboard the Enterprise-D; it is resin cast in silver-gray and flips open, around a hinge on the bottom, to reveal color-printed applications of numerous sensor controls and a central display screen, a red “button” that reads “EMRG” in large letters next to it, a label that reads “TR 560 Tricorder VI” and multi-colored, textured accents on the top, and a space for a detachable hand scanner (not included). The item measures approx. 6.5 X 3.5 X 3 when open.
