STAR TREK “FEATURE FILM-STYLE OPERATIONS DIVISION CREWMAN'S STARFLEET UNIFORM”

A costume style first appearing in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Kahn and continuing to be in use through the opening sequence of Star Trek: Generations. This costume consists of a long-sleeved, full-length red jumpsuit with tan shoulders, black cuff and collar ribbing, Operations gold division strips for the shoulders and cuff; black stripes that follow up the sleeve, along the ribs and down the outside of the leg. Matching faux “pocket” on the right thigh, stirrups for the feet, an octagonal, wire-backed, metal colored badge on a red, fabric background denoting the non-commissioned rank of “Petty Officer Second Class”, a silver-colored, gold-trimmed metal pin-backed badge featuring the name “Chanak”, and a pair of black “Puma” athletic shoes with red accents of the Starfleet insignia with wear from time and storage that make them moderately fragile. The shoulder division strips are loose upon the costume and have loose threads.
