A hand prop scanner created for Star Trek episodic television. The item is an impressive molded resin device with gold colored machined metal housings and opaque lighted ends when activated. Powered internally by 2 accompanying ‘N’ sized 1.5volt batteries which retain power from production use, the item emits a flickering blue light from the reverse end and a rotating red, orange, blue, and green strobing sequence from the front. These bright lights cast their distinctive pattern on surfaces and are really eye catching; a single thumb button activates the item. This standout piece is painted with metallic silver accents, with bronze and green housings. The item measures approx. 5 X 6 X 1.75 inches
