STAR TREK “FEATURE FILM-STYLE UHURA UNIFORM TROUSERS-DISTRESSED”

A costume element featured in various Star Trek feature films and then altered for reuse in further feature films. These black, Starfleet uniform trousers were worn by Nichelle Nichols as “Uhura” and feature a wide red, stripe down the leg and were altered for further use by adding twin gold, strips along the middle of the red which denote flag rank; the trousers were also intentionally distressed with a large slash down the right leg. A sewn in Western Costume tag reads ‘Nichelle Nichols’.
