STAR TREK: “DAN CURRY CONCEPT SKETCHES”

Record summary

A lot of Dan Curry concept sketches and storyboards created variously for episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation and Deep Space Nine. The lot consists of thirty-eight black and white and color duplicates on white paper all located together, and three sketches on 11 X 17 inch white paper folded in half to match the size. The storyboard s depict multiple special effects shots from episodes like “Redemption”, “The Perfect Mate”, “Galaxy’s Child” , “The Outcast”, “The First Duty”, “Future Imperfect”, “Deja Q”, and “Q-Who”. The storyboards depict various usages of starship models and motion control on screen. The sheets all feature dates, show numbers, titles, and ‘Dan Curry’ written on them. Another selection includes sketches of various prop weapons designed by Curry for the series including the ‘Tilonian’ dagger from “Frame of Mind”, a selection of ‘primitive weapons’, the “Sword of Kahless” from the episode of the same name, and others. Color renderings of the space borne entity from “Galaxy’s Child” are present as well as landscape scenes including “Captain Picard” and “Q” standing on primordial Earth while the anti-time anomaly is visible in the sky form “All Good Things…”
