STAR TREK: “SPACE SHIP MODEL”

Record summary

A kitbash starship model with production capabilities believed to have appeared variously in Star Trek episodic television. The item is an injection molded plastic model with multiple components salvaged from varying licensed model as frequently occurs in television and feature model creation. The item appears as a lengthy freighter with a metal mounting brace housed internally, exposed on the ventral side. It is composed of these recognizable elements: metal conduit covering on both the starboard and port sides, “Star Wars” ‘TIE Fighter cockpit hemispheres, a “Millennium Falcon” cockpit canopy and escape pod hatch, “X-Wing Fighter” engine intake manifolds and cannons, an “Imperial Star Destroyer” shield generator dome, a computer heat synch, Romulan Science Vessel warp nacelles, and much more. The item features a quad engine configuration, is painted grey with metallic gold distress to add detail, and measures approx. 25.5 X 4.5 X 6.5 inches. A few smaller items have broken off the item clearly where the paint does not cover it and symmetry fails.
