STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE “XINDI-INSECTOID” CONSOLE

Record summary

This Xindi-Insectoid console extracted from a set built for the episode “Hatchery” of Star Trek: Enterprise. When the crew discovers a downed enemy spacecraft they spend an extended amount of time trying to discern the secrets of the aggressive aliens who attacked Earth, and “Captain Archer” (Scott Bakula) becomes obsessed with protecting the lives of several unborn enemy embryos to the point his crew mutiny's to salvage their mission! This console is designed to appear as alien as possible in that it features ‘insect finger switches’ with Xindi character letter applications on each; an opaque dome covered by a second dome interface with black honeycomb details applied lights up when the console is plugged into a standard AC110v outlet accessed by a 46 inch 2 prong plug and cable; a translucent orange surface rings the dome, and the pedestal and base have been painted a metallic silver color in a patter reminiscent of insect construction. The base is approx. 22 inches in diameter while being 6 inches high. The item is overall approx. 40 X 22 inches. Permanent markings on this item state ‘Xindi insectoid console, 67’.
