STAR TREK VI: “RURA PENTHE TOUGH” ALIEN COSTUME

No one can forget the scene in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country where “Kirk” (William Shatner) was forced to battle with the blue and red alien in the mines of ‘Rura Penthe'. Having been knocked to the floor, Kirk kicked the alien in the knees, thus ending the fight. Not certain why he’d won the brawl, another resident of the prison mentioned to him, not to forget that not everyone keeps their genitals in the same place. This costume was worn by the enormous alien in the fight, a wide, padded costume of crushed fabric in ribs around the arms with a black furry chest and dried, drizzled accents affixed. The costumer’s tag reads ‘Knee Jerk Alien, Dennis Ott, sc 91-93’.
