STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE XINDI-REPTILIAN COSTUME

Record summary

The Xindi-reptilians are an aggressive humanoid race of the Xindi species. Featured for the first time in the Star Trek: Enterprise series, the Xindi-reptilians were keenly focused on destroying planet Earth, going so far as to try and create a Xindi bioweapon to completely annihilate humanity. This Xindi costume started out as a Reman costume in Star Trek X: Nemesis but was modified and reused for season three of Star Trek: Enterprise for the Reptilian Xindi. The pants are made of metallic purple vinyl with padded sections on the side of each leg and the shins, surrounded with gold cord added for definition. The top section is a black bib with a zip down the front. The jacket is made of metallic purple vinyl with quilted padding across the shoulders, back, waist and arms and around the collar. All padded sections are defined by gold cord. It zips up the front and has had the Reman “X” removed from the back of the neck to make it ‘Xindi'. The caged frame worn over the suit is distinctly Xindi and is made of plastic black tubes spray-painted silver and gold for a metallic finish. The tubes are attached to an imitation leather harness that has gold piping and a gold and black Egyptian hieroglyphic motif over its entirety. The cage does up at the front with three metal twist clips. The costume is complete with matching boots and gloves. All items indicate wear by reoccurring Star Trek guest actor Louis Ortiz. Also included is a black vest and jumpsuit designed for wear underneath the Xindi costume.
