Record summary

A costume featured in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan for wear by characters portraying engineering trainees being treated in sickbay after the initial attack by “Khan” (Ricardo Montalban) and the hijacked “USS Reliant”. The costume is a full length white jumpsuit with ribbing accents at the elbows, multiple affixed thermal units on the sleeves and legs with red tubing, a red ribbed collar, and an affixed red division strip with a yellow band in it indicating the wearer to be a trainee with intention to being an engineer. Additionally the costume features an affixed breath mask connection accent, a chest centered accent, affixed silver colored metal rigging gear loops on the front, an affixed white placement with attached gray colored metal badge indicating the rank of ‘able-seaman', and a pair of white gloves with red tubing and a single affixed yellow division strip on the left shoulder. The distress is evident in that the collar is thrashed and blackened to appear burned, and various places on the jumpsuit there is a high degree of blackening to appear scorched, a hole is present in the left knee and right shoulder. The costume also comes with a name badge the style of which appears in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered County and is inscribed ‘Botax’.
