STAR TREK: ENTERPRISE “MAGNETIC PARTICLES – SIMILITUDE”

Record summary

A cast resin hand prop painted to look particularly dirty and, well, particulate. This item was featured in the episode “Similitude” of Star Trek: Enterprise having been ‘removed' from the outer hull of the “Enterprise NX-01” by crewmen who had to resort to cutting them off. Handed to “Captain Archer” (Scott Bakula) by “T’Pol” (Jolene Blalock) and then set on his desk where its ‘magnetic properties’ drew to it a metal coffee cup, the collected buildup of these particles would eventually lead the ship never to be able to leave the area of space they were in. The solution to this problem lay in the cloning of their injured chief engineer “’Trip’ Tucker” (Connor Trinneer) to repair their engines so they could continue on their mission to stop the Xindi super weapon.
