A Starfleet officer's uniform for wear by Grace Lee Whitney in her portrayal of “Janice Rand” configured for representation of her rank in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. The costume is black uniform trousers with gray division stripes down the outside seams of the legs, a gray long sleeved undershirt with a ribbed collar and cuffs, and a red uniform jacket with black piping separating the double breasted fold over held on with snaps separated by silver colored metal chain accent. The uniform comes with these unattached elements: an unfinished gray operations division shoulder strip with gold trim, an unattached ‘security device’, a gray division strip for the left sleeve forearm with an affixed gild colored metal ‘5 year service’ pin, a red placement with two attached gold and silver colored metal badges making up the rank of ‘lieutenant (junior grade), a pair of gold colored metal commendation bars, a gild colored metal ‘5 year service’ pin, pair of gild colored metal ‘10 year service’ pins with molded Starfleet emblems, a pair of gold and silver colored metal badges making up the rank of ‘lieutenant (junior grade) for the shoulder strap, a metal opening for the shoulder strap twist clasp, a black leather belt with a gold colored metal Starfleet emblem buckle, and four costumer’s tags reading ‘Star Trek VI, Grace Lee Whitney as Excelsior Comm. Officer’. The belt features an interior label inscribed ‘Grace Lee Whitney’, the shirt is itself inscribed ‘Grace Whitney’, and the trousers feature a sewn in Paramount tag reading ‘Grace Whitney’.
