STAR TREK I: “VULCAN KOLINAHR MASTER/AMANDA GRAYSON” COSTUME – FEMALE

Record summary

A costume appearing first in Star Trek I: The Motion Picture for wear by the Vulcan Kolinahr master who was to award “Spock” (Leonard Nimoy) a totem of pure logic, and later in the closing scene of Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, possibly for wear by Spock’s mother, “Amanda Grayson”. The costume is a long beige robe with pleated sleeves and a sheer hood worn underneath a thick, cream colored over robe that is adorned with Vulcan mosaic styled leather on the back and bells out toward the ground in two lengths in the front. The over robe is stained near the hem on the reverse due to time and storage conditions and is also very long and acts as a train; numbered and lettered tags are sewn into strategic locations on the costume for the placement of Vulcan badges which are not accompanying. A pair of slippers are present which were located with the costume, they are tan leather, and a single hexagonal gold colored metal bracelet with teal colored ‘gem’s and Vulcan iconographic symbols. Costumer’s tags read ‘Star Trek V, Amanda C1 Scn. 179-185’ and ‘mom off camera Amanda C1’.
