| STAR TREK: TNG “ALDEAN ENERGY SOURCE MODEL” FROM “WHEN THE BOUGH BREAKS” A model featured in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode “When the Bough Breaks” appearing as a giant nuclear generator powering a massive planetary cloaking field. The item is in fact a clear acrylic tube with black detail lines in place to suggest hardware, and a framework of black plastic components mounted externally. The item is fragile and several elements of the framework are not completely intact, the item is almost twenty years old and has suffered some damage due to time and storage conditions, however, it retains its appeal as part of a dwindling supply of television and movie models. The item measures approx. 19.5 X 7 X 7 X 7 inches hexagonally. | |||

Sometime
This model was seen in an episode of Reading Rainbow (Hosted by LeVar Burton) in August 1988. The episode was about the behind-the-scenes side of television, and featured the book "The Bionic Bunny Show". Levar Burton visited the set of Star Trek: The Next Generation and interviewed a few of the production staff including Robert Legato who explained how the model was built and shot.
