STAR TREK I: “V'GER MEMORY WALL SEQUENCE STORYBOARDS” | |||
A set of five differing panoramic photographs adhered to five different black poster boards made for Star Trek I: The Motion Picture. The items depict the progress of plasticine figures representing “Kirk” and “Spock” as they move from an opening in the Memory Wall of the “V’Ger” probe, a scene in the film that was replaced by Spock’s mindmeld with V’Ger. These high quality black and white photos show with great detail the figures of Kirk and Spock as they float through high contrast three dimensional models on metal braces, each labeled with a corresponding letter for recognition, “K” for Kirk and “S” for Spock, even though the Spock figure has trademark Vulcan eyebrows painted on. One of the photographs adhesive elements has degenerated, yet it is still applied to the board on the viewer’s right side. These story boards are believed to have been put together by the company “Robert Abel & Associates”, the first special effects team attached to Star Trek I: The Motion Picture and they measure approx. 15 X 20 inches. | |||
